I'm sitting out on our deck in the 90 degree weather finally writing another blog post. Had a wonderful 3 day weekend (not quite over yet!). I bought a little inflatable "grown up" pool for the backyard, so while Hannah was in class Saturday, I enjoyed the sun and spent the day with the critters. The cats are completely spoiled and cry at the door to go out every day, so they were happy (le sigh haha). The puppies (Maddie and Sophie- puppy sitting for the parentals <3) are not used to such hot weather, but are enjoying their time in the North Cackalacky. Sunday, Hannah and I went to a Memorial Day cookout, which was fun and today we went kayaking on Catfish Lake. We are gonna have a little mini-cookout tonight and a fire. Let summer begin!! <3
Life has been good. We planted a small garden and it's growing like crazy...who knew squash would overtake everything? Hannah is almost finished with BLET and the plan *so far* is for her to work with the New Bern PD. Vet life has been going well- I've seen some cool cases and performed some difficult/interesting surgeries.
I'm so excited for summer. All the water activities and beachin'...it's gonna be great. I'll attempt to be a little better about updates. But hope everyone has a beautiful, exciting summer and that life is good. <3
